Roy Durr, P. Eng
President & CEO
Mr. Durr is a registered Professional Engineer (Ontario, Canada) and an expert Executive Program Manager with over 30 years of experience in managing the design and execution of major mining and infrastructure projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master Certificate in Project Management from York University. His technical expertise coupled with his creative and innovative abilities have resulted in a special talent for project problem solving, such as the sinking of three Potash shafts through the unconsolidated, water saturated, Blairmore formation; a feat that had not previously been done. In the Tintic district of Utah, where Provo is performing the rehabilitation and restart of the underground Trixie Gold Mine, Roy Durr has employed his Project Management skills to achieve production and sale of ore within a record 14 months from Provo’s start of activities there, employing innovative and cost reducing techniques to achieve this success despite complications during the peak of the global Covid-19 pandemic. In every project he has managed, the projects are delivered on time, on budget and on target, using the highest industry standards of reporting and performance tracking.
