Dragon Mine Expansion
The Dragon Mine is located in the Tintic District of North Central Utah, approximately 60 miles southwest of Salt Lake City. The Dragon Mine represents one of the largest known deposits of halloysite in the world and contains an ultra-pure iron oxide resource consisting of Goethite and Hematite. To date it has been determined that the property contains a Measured resource of 3,302,275 tons of iron oxide.
Applied Minerals Inc. awarded Provo Mining & Construction the contract to expand production from 800 to 5000 tons per month.
